@35165_43121 @PrivacyMatters I believe the Reuters article is only about Google demand-side offer, not supply-side (hence no Google Ad Manager)

@WolfieChristl One more thing is that unfortunately, the “personalized ads without profiling” option is a complicated one to verify: we must trust the adtech vendor (who will still get user identifier and serve personalized ads)
-
@WolfieChristl So the TCF v2 enables publishers to restrict an adtech vendor purpose like to have their personal data collected in a profile. I am curious to see if other adtech vendors will follow Google (or accept to be cut from profiling users by savvy publishers)...
-
@WolfieChristl Ok now I see the argument: Google could theoretically ask only the 1st permission to serve personalized ads (provided that they don’t profile users on those precise ads). But they ask for both permissions because they refuse to serve personalized ads without profiling users.
-
RT @DuckDuckGo: Due to pressure from members of Congress & the public, Zoom will make end-to-end encryption available to ALL users, free &…
-
@WolfieChristl This article is misleading: Google is already harvesting publishers data (same as all the others adtech companies). Except that Google will be a bit more “privacy-friendly” than the others, by now asking the user’s permission before serving personalized ads
