@thezedwards @adexchanger It's even the opposite actually, in AdCOM you have support for "Extended Identifiers". Think about all the companies that want to replace 3rd party cookies with their persistent identifiers github.com/InteractiveAdvertisingBureau/AdCOM/blob/master/AdCOM%20v1.0%20FINAL.md#object_eids
-
@thezedwards @adexchanger yes, "user safety"/privacy is not a consideration on those specs
-
@thezedwards @adexchanger yes I agree with you, but then you should rather look at OpenRTB 3.0 and in particular AdCOM (instead of ads.cert): github.com/InteractiveAdvertisingBureau/AdCOM/blob/master/AdCOM%20v1.0%20FINAL.md#object_device
-
@thezedwards @adexchanger Not sure to understand your point, user IP address is already in the OpenRTB protocols, in the bid requests. It's not a required field (but unfortunately it's used a lot). In ads.crt, you just decide what you want to sign (provided that you already send the data).

@WolfieChristl The legitimate interest choice for “create personnalized content profile” is questionnable, even if it’s not for ads...
-
@WolfieChristl This framework is a joke. How can you register legitimate interest for personalized ads?! Note that Google won’t work with Taboola via TCFv2, per their interoperability guidance (they require consent for those purposes): support.google.com/admanager/answer/9461778
-
@WolfieChristl Hypothesis: “personalized content” is important for Google Analytics / Firebase where you can send personalized messages & notifications

@natashanyt @ashk4n @geoffreyfowler Still it’s good that they fix it, we shouldn’t be forced to participate to improving Google localisation services
-
@natashanyt @ashk4n @geoffreyfowler Google : « The information Google collects from Android devices for use in GLS is linked to a temporary and rotating device identifier that is not used by or shared with other services. It is not connected with any identifier that would associate that data with a specific user. »
-
@natashanyt @ashk4n @geoffreyfowler Shady behavior but apparently the google location accuracy is not tracking users (if e trust what Google said here: accc.gov.au/system/files/Oracle-Submission-2-%28September-2018%29.pdf)
